Antoni Gaudi In Barcelona Video
An exploration of Antoni Gaudi's now famous and unique architectural creations in Barcelona, Spain. Lots of impressive visual examples of Gaudi's works are shown with short explanations of the ideas and influences behind them.
Pupils discuss a picture based on Kandinsky's work and look at the exploration of circles by the artist. They have the opportunity to look at similarities and differences of the representation of circles within the picture by focusing closely on a few examples.

A dramatized autobiography of the artist Pablo Picasso, showing his paintings and sketches and talking about the inspiration for his work. Picasso talks about his family and his sister Lola, who was a huge inspiration for his work. He then says that the one person he drew throughout his whole life was himself. He talks about how he used colours to show emotions.
Pointillist Technique Interactive
This lesson is based on the pointillist technique used by artists such as Andre Derain and Georges Seurat. It introduces the pupils to a different way of painting and includes aspects of colour mixing.

A dramatized autobiography of the artist Vincent van Gogh talking about his work. He talks about how he drew and painted farmers and people who worked on the land in Holland, using dark colours to represent the gloominess of their labour. After moving to France he began to paint using brighter colours, drawing the landscapes and using nature as an inspiration for his work.
