One of the units from the Nuffield Primary Solutions in Design and Technology. Children design and make a healthy cold drink for another class member. Each child will have to find out the preferences and needs of the consumer and will include feedback from that person as part of the evaluation process. Registration required but resources are free.
Light Bulb - Disassembly Interactive
This application consists of a presentation of information about light bulbs along with a drag and drop labelling exercise to show the main parts of a light bulb.
The diagram labels can be turned on and off before undertaking the labelling activity.
Mowing A Design Video
A rocket shape is drawn on paper, sectioned with a grid and mown into a grass lawn. The rocket shape is first sketched out and a box grid overlaid to break it down into sections. The shape is then mapped onto a grass lawn using string and stakes for accuracy before being cut using lawn mowers.
Share A Classroom Display Download
