Identify Light Sources Interactive
The first two parts of the activity asks pupils to sort a collection of items into those which are sources of light and those which are not. The rest of the activity deals with uses of light in the environment, asking pupils to identify the source of light in a picture and to say what the light is used for.

What Are Shadows? Video
Vlad the vampire is looking after the castle whilst his Aunt Vera is away. When he sees the spooky shadow of a vampire, Vlad does not understand how shadows are made and believes that there is someone out to get him. Kate and Dave teach Vlad that light travels in straight lines, when it is blocked by an opaque object, a shadow is formed.
