Grouping Animals Interactive
A three part sorting activity based around animals.
Sort either animals and plants, animals with or without legs and how animals move.

Spot The Plant Download
In this resource aimed at younger primary learners, children learn how to identify and name common plants. The activities contain a thinking walk where children are challenged to find a selection plants by matching them to The Great Plant Hunt Identikit provided. Choosing one plant, they collect several of them to look at how they vary. In a follow up session back in class, the children look at their collection of the single plant species discussing similarities and differences between them. Registration required, resources free.

The application consists of two sorting activities and one writing frame to support work towards the end of the unit. There three sections as follows:
1) Sorting plants and animals into distinct sets.
2) Sorting animals by own criteria.
3) Recognising and explaining similarities and differences in living things.
